As a musician who has conducted numerous orchestras and served on many juries, I was deeply honored to be invited last May to serve as President of the Jury for the 32nd Postacchini Competition in Fermo.
It is rare to see more than 120 talented young violinists gathered in one place, ready to compete with passion and dedication. The fact that these competitors came from all over the world underscores the universal power of music, which today more than ever represents a bridge capable of uniting people beyond geographical boundaries and social differences.
The musical level of the participants was truly extraordinary. It was a privilege to work alongside my esteemed colleagues on the jury, who approached our task with seriousness and a sense of responsibility, in order to offer fair and meritocratic evaluations to all the young artists in the competition. Many of them distinguished themselves for their skill and sensitivity, and the prizes and scholarships awarded will further enrich their professional careers.
I believe that the organization of the competition, developed over time with great care and expertise by the two founders and thanks to the contribution of numerous prominent figures from the Italian and international music scene, is a model of excellence.
The joy that comes from a well-structured competition, capable of showcasing the most brilliant talents of our time, is of fundamental importance. Not only to promote the spread of classical music, but also to inspire new generations to approach this timeless art form with enthusiasm.
